About me
I come from a science background and have always had a curiosity about people and how things work. I experienced a life change a few years ago and this set me on the path to re-train as a counsellor. I’m now a qualified counsellor who uses talking therapies alongside Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). My knowledge and training enable me to provide a science backed compassionate approach.
Alongside private practice, I work with cancer patients and their families as a Counsellor at the Macmillan Delamere Information and Support Centre. This work is very important to me. It has given me a greater understanding of working with clients who find difficulty navigating the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis, adjusting to physical changes and accepting of their new life after illness.
I believe in the power of nature when working through our emotional responses to life changes. This led me to Walk and Talk Therapy which I offer in Warrington and surrounding areas.
My priority is to ensure you feel secure, safe and respected throughout our work together. I’m a member of the BACP and NCPS, fully insured and GDPR compliant. My work is also supervised by a more experienced counsellor to check I’m working in a safe manner.
