Terms and conditions
Last updated: October 2026
Welcome to Nadine Dyson Therapy. By using this website, you agree to the terms below.
I’ve kept these terms straightforward because I want this website to be useful and easy to understand.
1. About this website
This website provides information about the counselling services offered by Nadine Dyson Therapy, including face to face, online, telephone and Walk and Talk Therapy.
The information on this website is provided for general information and should not be considered a substitute for medical, psychological or professional advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
I aim to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but I cannot guarantee that every piece of information will always be complete, current or error-free.
2. Counselling enquiries
Contacting me through this website, by email or by telephone does not automatically create a counselling relationship or guarantee an appointment.
Before counselling begins, we will discuss whether working together is appropriate and agree how we will work together.
A separate Counselling Agreement will apply once you become a client.
3. Appointments and fees
Current counselling fees and appointment arrangements will be discussed with you before counselling begins.
My Counselling Agreement will set out the arrangements relating to:
- session fees
- payment
- cancellations and missed appointments
- session length
- online, telephone and Walk, Sit and Talk sessions
- contact between sessions
- ending counselling
4. Walk and Talk Therapy
Walk and Talk Therapy takes place outdoors and in public spaces.
Because sessions take place outside a traditional therapy room, other people may see us or overhear parts of a conversation. While I will take reasonable steps to protect your privacy, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in a public environment.
You are responsible for wearing suitable clothing and footwear and letting me know about anything that may affect your ability to participate safely.
Sessions may need to be changed, postponed or moved because of weather, environmental conditions or other circumstances affecting safety.
5. Online and telephone counselling
Online and telephone counselling depend on appropriate technology and communication services.
I take reasonable steps to use secure systems, but no electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for finding a private and appropriate space for online or telephone counselling.
6. Confidentiality
Counselling is confidential, subject to the limits explained in your Counselling Agreement and Privacy Notice.
There may be circumstances where information needs to be shared, for example where there is a serious concern about someone’s safety, safeguarding concerns, or a legal requirement to disclose information.
7. Website links
This website may contain links to other websites or resources that I believe may be useful.
I am not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or security of external websites.
Following a link to another website is at your own discretion.
8. Website content and copyright
The content of this website, including written material, photographs, graphics, branding and other original content, belongs to Nadine Dyson Therapy unless otherwise stated.
You may view and use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
Please don’t copy, reproduce, republish, distribute or commercially use content from this website without my written permission.
9. Website availability
I aim to keep this website available and working properly, but I cannot guarantee that it will always be available or free from technical problems.
I may occasionally update, change or remove content or parts of the website without notice.
10. Emergency and crisis support
Nadine Dyson Therapy is not an emergency or crisis service.
I do not provide emergency mental health support through this website, email or telephone.
If you are in immediate danger or believe you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, please contact 999 or attend your nearest A&E department.
For urgent mental health support in England, you can also contact NHS 111 and select the mental health option where available, or contact an appropriate local crisis service.
Please do not rely on this website or wait for a response from me if you need urgent or emergency support.
11. Privacy
Your privacy is important to me.
Information collected through this website and through my counselling services is handled in accordance with my Privacy Notice.
Please see my Privacy Notice for information about what personal information I collect, how I use it and how I keep it secure.
12. Complaints
I hope that anyone working with me feels able to raise concerns if something doesn’t feel right.
If you have a complaint about my services, please contact me directly in the first instance so that I have an opportunity to understand and address your concerns.
Information about making a formal complaint is also available through my professional membership body where applicable.
13. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to my services, website or legal requirements.
The most recent version will always be available on this website.
